Bank of Lancaster Announces Promotions14-Jun-2013
Kilmarnock, VA – June 14, 2013 – Bank of Lancaster (the “Bank”), an affiliate of Bay Banks of Virginia, Inc. (OTCQB: BAYK) announces promotions.
Randal R. Greene, President and CEO of Bank of Lancaster and Bay Banks of Virginia, announced that the Bank’s Board of Directors has elected Edward P. “Ward” Currin, Jr. to the office of Assistant Vice President and Ivana L. Nichols to the office of Assistant Vice President and Credit Risk Officer.

Currin is the Branch Officer of the Bank’s White Stone Office and the Company’s Government Relations Coordinator. He joined Bank of Lancaster in October of 2005 as the Loan Resolution Administrator. He was elevated to Branch Manager in October of 2008 and managed the Bank’s Callao Office. In August of 2009 he was promoted to Branch Officer.
Although a native of Raleigh, North Carolina, Currin was raised in Roanoke, Virginia. He received his Bachelors of Science in Business Administration from Radford University in Radford, Virginia. He is also a graduate of the Virginia Bankers School of Bank Management at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville.
Active in his community and in banking circles, Currin is Chairman of the Virginia Bankers Association’s Leadership Division. He is a former Board member of the Northern Neck Family YMCA, and a past member of the Kilmarnock-Irvington-White Stone Rotary Club, where he served as Sergeant at Arms and Secretary.
Currin and his wife Tucker reside in Irvington with their three-year old daughter, Madden.
Nichols joined Bank of Lancaster in April of 2006 as a management associate and commercial loan processor. In July of 2011, she was elevated to Credit Risk Manager. Her new responsibilities include overseeing and managing the review of loans for safety and soundness, as well as the maintenance of and monitoring of credit risk for the Bank.
Nichols was born in Trencin, Slovak Republic. She received her Master of Economics from Matej Bel University in Banska Bystrica, Slovak Republic and her Bachelor of Business Administration, Concentration in Economics and Accounting, from The Business Academy, Trencin, Slovak Republic. She became a citizen of the United States in September 2010. During her tenure with Bank of Lancaster, she had continued her studies relative to the banking industry at Rappahannock Community College.
Nichols and her husband Davy reside in White Stone.
