Bank of Lancaster Welcomes Sharon Kendall06-Jun-2011
Bank of Lancaster President and Chief Executive Officer, Kenneth O. Bransford, Jr. announces that Sharon R. Kendall has been elected by the Board of Directors to the position of Vice President, Residential Lending Administrator.
Kendall is managing Bank of Lancaster’s Residential Lending department. She has over 29 years of experience working in banking. Her experience includes various roles in retail, residential lending and management with community banks.
Prior to joining Bank of Lancaster, Kendall’s most recent position was Senior Vice President, Area Mortgage Manager with BB&T. She managed a team of 15 lenders and support staff. Prior to that position, Kendall was in retail at BB&T as a Financial Center Leader managing a branch and as well as, overseeing 5 other branches for support and training.
Kendall, a native of Fredericksburg, Virginia, attended Virginia Commonwealth University. She completed Leadership courses at University of Mary Washington’s James Monroe Center for Professional Studies and graduated in July 2001 from the BB&T Banking School at Wake Forest University.
Kendall stated, “Due to my husband’s upcoming retirement, we are so happy to live in the Northern Neck on a permanent basis. We love this area and look forward to becoming more active in the community in the years ahead. I am very excited to have this opportunity to work for Bank of Lancaster, with its excellent reputation as one of the best community banks in Virginia.”
Kendall is a member of the Northern Neck Land Conservancy; a member of Callao Moose Lodge; past chair, ambassador/diplomat of the CNEW Leadership Conference; and attends Carmel United Methodist Church.
Kendall and her husband Gil reside in Heathsville. They have three grown children.
