Ryan Blake Named 2011 Bay Banks Employee of the Year09-Jan-2012
Ryan Blake was named the Bay Banks of Virginia 2011 Employee of the Year at the Company’s Christmas Party. The announcement was made by Randal R. Greene, President & CEO. Bay Banks is the holding company for Bank of Lancaster and Bay Trust Company.
Bay Banks of Virginia, Inc., holding company for Bank of Lancaster and Bay Trust Company, held its annual Christmas Party at Indian Creek Yacht & Country Club in Kilmarnock. Employees, directors, spouses and guests were in attendance.
During the evening, President & CEO Randal R. Greene announced that Ryan Blake was the Company’s 2011 Employee of the Year.
Each year, the employees select a co-worker whom they feel has gone beyond the call of duty to be helpful to fellow employees and to customers, one who exemplifies professionalism, supports community, and is an overall asset to the organization and its mission. Blake was honored by his co-workers as the 2011 recipient of this recognition.
Blake joined the Bank in September 2010. He works in the Company’s Information Systems area and is the Network Administrator. In making the announcement, Greene remarked that “in just a little over a year, Ryan has made quite an impression on his teammates. The recognition he has received tonight speaks to his dedication, his commitment to service excellence to both his internal and external customers; and these wonderful qualities are recognized and greatly appreciated.”
Greene presented Blake with a sapphire logo pin, a framed Certificate of Appreciation and his name was added to the Employee of the Year plaque displayed in the lobby of the Bank’s headquarters in Kilmarnock.
Blake grew up in Middlesex and graduated Cum Laude from Middlesex High School. Blake graduated with honors from the University of Phoenix with a B.S. degree in Information Technology with a concentration in Information Systems Security. Prior to working at Bank of Lancaster, Blake worked for over four years with a local school system mainly as a Network Engineer. He lives in Deltaville with his wife Rose. He is a member of Cornerstone Fellowship Church and volunteers in their AV/sound booth.
In making the announcement, Greene noted that to become Employee of the Year is quite an honor. He stated, “Ryan’s dedication and commitment to service excellence has earned him the respect of his co-workers throughout the organization, from White Stone to Colonial Beach, as evidenced by the honor that has been bestowed upon him. It is because of employees such as Ryan, with his knowledge and commitment to quality, that gives our organization the ability to provide a high level of service to our customers and greatly enhances our commitment to our community as the most complete financial services provider. We are most fortunate to have Ryan as a part of our family.”
