Community Support
The spirit of giving back is alive and well at Bank of Lancaster...it's who we are and what we do! And the success of a community bank is tied directly to the success of the community it serves. Bank of Lancaster proudly supports over 150 organizations or events annually.
Bank of Lancaster participated in White Stone's Oktoberfest sponsored by the White Stone Business Association and the White Stone Volunteer Fire Department.

Bank of Lancaster participated in the Warsawfest Parade in October and won the Grand Marshal Award.

Bank of Lancaster supports the Hospice Turkey Shoot Regatta which is held in October.

Bank of Lancaster supported the American Red Cross Golf Tournament in October.

Bank of Lancaster participated in the Montross Fall Festival Parade and won Best Commercial Entry.

Bank of Lancaster hosted children from the Northern Neck Boys & Girls for an educational tour.
In support of the Kilmarnock-Irvington-White Stone Rotary Club, every September Bank of Lancaster employees cook and serve crab cakes at the Bay Seafood Festival. Over the last 20 years, this Rotary fundraiser has provided over $350,000 to local charities and organizations in the area.

Bank of Lancastersponsored a women's team in the Special Operations Warrior Foundation Golf Tournament. The team placed third overall.

Bank of Lancaster supports St. Stephen's Fall Harvest Festival in September.

Bank of Lancaster supports the Lively Firemen's Festival held in September.


Bank of Lancaster supports the Kilmarnock Volunteer Fire Department's Annual Carnival through a joint sponsorship of the French Fry stand with Tri-Star and with approximately 28 employees working at various booths from July 28 to August 6.


Bank of Lancaster's Golden Advantage Club participated in Rappahannock General Hospital's Senior University which was an educational seminar for seniors & caregivers.

Bank of Lancaster proudly supports the Northern Neck Rotary Club's Capinne fundraiser. The proceeds support local charitable organizations and scholarships.

Bank of Lancaster participated with a float in the Potomac River Festival parade in Colonial Beach.

In honor of all of the graduating seniors at our local high schools, Bank of Lancaster presented them with cinchpaks from recycled material. Shown here are seniors from Rappahannock High School. Backpacks were also given out at Lancaster, Northumberland, Washington & Lee, and Colonial Beach.

Bank of Lancaster has been a partner with the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office in the DARE program since its inception at the Lancaster Middle School. This 17-week program is a collaborative effort by DARE, law enforcement, students, teachers and parents to provide education and increase awareness about the dangers of drugs, tobacco and alcohol. The program teaches students the differences between and dangers of various drugs, helps the students build self esteem, and teaches them how to make the right decisions when faced with the challenge of drugs or alcohol.

On behalf of the Lancaster/Northumberland Relay for Life, Bank of Lancaster team members held a plant sale at the open house of the Northern Farm Museum.

On behalf of the Westmoreland Relay for Life, Bank of Lancaster team members sponsored a bake sale.

Main Office Hosted Chesapeake Academy First Graders and they were introduced to the Youth Center on the Bank's website.

Hospice's Turkey Shoot Regatta

In support of the Kilmarnock-Irvington-White Stone Rotary Club, every September Bank of Lancaster employees cook and serve crab cakes at the Bay Seafood Festival. Over the last 19 years, this Rotary fundraiser has provided over $330,000 to local charities and organizations in the area.

The two photos below were taken at the Boys & Girls Club in Kilmarnock where Bank of Lancaster Representatives provided an 8-week program on Financial Literacy. The children were taught the basics of savings versus spending and the difference between wants and needs.


The photo below was taken at the Main Office of Bank of Lancaster during a visit from third graders at Chesapeake Academy. In addition to a tour of the bank, they were presented with an overview of financial literacy and the difference between a want and a need.

Shown below are Bank of Lancaster employees that volunteered a Saturday to lend a hand with hammers to help support the building of this home for Habitat for Humanity in Lancaster County.

Bank of Lancaster is a proud supporter of the Wounded Warrior's Golf Tournament. The Bank sponsored a team, a hole sponsorship and Bank of Lancaster employees cooked hamburgers and hot dogs for182 participants.

Teach Children to Save
Bank of Lancaster is proud to participate annually in national “Teach Children to Save Day.” This event is held each April and is sponsored by the American Bankers Association’s Educational Foundation and the Virginia Bankers Association. The program provides an opportunity for banks to partner with their local elementary schools and share with students tips on how to spend and save wisely. During the last week of April, representatives from Bank of Lancaster made presentations at Lancaster Primary, Chesapeake Academy, Northumberland Elementary, Richmond County Elementary, Cople Elementary, Washington District Elementary and Colonial Beach Elementary, reaching approximately 700 elementary students.
