BANK OF LANCASTER WELCOMES RICK VARNIER

Bank of Lancaster President and Chief Executive Officer, Austin L. Roberts, III, announced that Ricky B. Varnier has joined the Bank and has been elected by the Board of Directors to the position of Vice President, Senior Operations and MIS Officer.

Varnier has over 24 years of banking and mortgage related technology, development and production management experience, including branch systems development, systems configuration, process engineering, project management and resource management.

Prior to joining Bank of Lancaster, the majority of Varnier’s career was with a large regional bank in Richmond. Over the years, Varnier served as Programmer Analyst, Branch Teller Systems Development Manager, Project Manager, and Production Support Manager supporting Mortgage Document Delivery. Varnier stated, “I feel extremely fortunate to be given the opportunity to work at Bank of Lancaster with a great group of individuals in an environment that is both challenging and exciting.”

As Bank of Lancaster’s Vice President and Senior Operations and MIS Officer, Varnier manages daily production operations and technology staff activities, and facilitates execution of an operational roadmap outlining tactical and strategic initiatives.

Varnier is a native of Virginia. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Old Dominion University and his Post Baccalaureate Certificate in Information Systems from Virginia Commonwealth University.

Varnier is a member of Morattico Baptist Church where he teaches an adult Sunday School class and facilitates a Bible Study group.

Varnier and his wife Pam reside in Northumberland County. They have two grown children, Nathan and Sally, and two grandchildren, Emma, a five year-old and Brandon, a seven month-old.
